It is your right to be informed about how and why we collect and store your personal information and data.
What happens to my information when I come for a treatment?
During your consultation Jennie will make a note of your contact details, medical history and any recordings from each session. These notes then get placed in a lockable filing cabinet and in accordance with the regulations, kept for 7 years from the date of your last appointment.
Your contact information will also be added to a password protected database which is only accessed by Jennie.
How will I be contacted?
After your first appointment you will be sent an email to give you an option to receive future email communication and select your particular interests. You may also be contacted by email or phone to receive appointment reminders.
Why is your data collected?
Personal information about your health is collected in order to provide you the best possible treatment. You can, of course, refuse to provide the information, but if you were to do that Jennie may not be able to provide the treatment.
There is a Legitimate Interest in collecting this information as without it Jennie would not be able to do her job effectively and safely. It is also deemed important that we can contact you in order to confirm your appointments or to update you on matters related to your medical care. This again constitutes 'Legitimate Interest', but this time it is your legitimate interest.
We use third party payment services Paypal, Stripe and iZettle to process payments. We do not hold your payment details these are stored by the 3rd party provider. For more information about how they process data please see Paypal , Stripe or i Zettle privacy notices.
Getting in touch
Of course, if you feel that Pinkhart Aromatherapy has mishandled your personal data in some way, you have the right to complain. Complaints need to be sent to what is referred to in the jargon as the “Data Controller”:
